Banjarmasin, Friday, January 23, 2026 — Students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), were officially escorted to carry out the Teaching Assistance Program at SMP Negeri 29 Banjarmasin. The activity involved six students from various education departments, consisting of three students from the Social Science Education Department, two students from the Mathematics Education Department, and one student from the Performing Arts Education Department. This handover marked the implementation of the Teaching Assistance Program, which aims to provide students with direct experience in real classroom learning activities.
The handover was accompanied by the Teaching Assistance Program Coordinator Lecturer, Putri Dyah Indriyani, M.Pd., and was warmly welcomed by representatives of SMP Negeri 29 Banjarmasin. The event began with an opening session led by the Master of Ceremony, followed by remarks from the coordinator lecturer, who outlined the objectives and expectations of the Teaching Assistance Program at the school. Each student then introduced themselves to the school representatives, followed by the introduction of supervising teachers who will mentor the students throughout the program.
Subsequently, the Teaching Assistance Coordinator Teacher of SMP Negeri 29 Banjarmasin, Susmi, S.Pd., delivered remarks and provided guidance regarding the implementation of activities within the school environment. The event continued with remarks from a student representative as a form of introduction and an expression of readiness to undertake the assigned responsibilities. The entire series of activities proceeded in an orderly, smooth, and collegial atmosphere.
After the official closing of the handover ceremony, students from each department had the opportunity to coordinate and engage in direct discussions with their respective supervising teachers according to their fields of study. Through this Teaching Assistance Program, students are expected to gain valuable practical teaching experience while also contributing positively to the learning process at SMP Negeri 29 Banjarmasin.
