North Banjarmasin, January 23, 2026 — Students from the Social Science Education, Mathematics Education, Pancasila and Civic Education, Performing Arts Education, and Computer Science Education study programs of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), officially carried out the opening and handover ceremony of the Teaching Assistance Program at partner school SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin, located in North Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan Province.
The activity commenced at 08:30 WITA and was attended by participating teaching assistance students, the coordinating lecturer, and representatives of the school. This event marked the official start of the Teaching Assistance Program implementation for FKIP ULM students within the school environment.
The ceremony began with a welcoming address from the Teaching Assistance Program coordinator, Raihanah Sari, M.Pd. In her remarks, she emphasized that students are required to comply with all school regulations. Students are also expected to actively participate in all school activities, including administrative duties, supporting activities, and classroom teaching and learning processes.
The next address was delivered by the Principal of SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin, Muhdar, M.Pd. He stressed that teaching assistance students must adhere to school rules and uphold the good name of the school throughout the program. He explained that SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin serves as an official partner school for the Teaching Assistance Program; therefore, students are expected to demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and high ethical standards as prospective educators. Students are also encouraged to adapt to the school culture and establish positive collaboration with all members of the school community.
Furthermore, students are required to seek permission before leaving the school premises. Teaching assistance students are also obliged to participate in flag ceremonies and to take part in at least one extracurricular activity offered by the school. The Principal noted that SMP Negeri 15 Banjarmasin implements a full-day school system; therefore, students are expected to manage their time and activities accordingly during their placement.
In addition, the Principal highlighted the importance of students’ attitudes and ethics when interacting with learners. In the event of any issues arising within the school environment, students are expected to resolve them wisely through appropriate communication channels and refrain from publicizing such matters. This approach aims to maintain a conducive school atmosphere and to foster a safe and professional educational environment.
