Banjarmasin, January 23, 2026 — The Handover of the Teaching Assistance (AM) Program for the 2026 cohort was officially conducted on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall of SMP Negeri 30 Banjarmasin. The activity commenced at 08.30 WITA and continued until completion in an orderly atmosphere marked by strong enthusiasm.
The event marked the official commencement of the Teaching Assistance Program as a form of collaboration between Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) and SMPN 30 Banjarmasin. The program is designed to provide students with direct experience in understanding the school environment while supporting the implementation of learning activities at partner schools.
A total of 11 students were assigned to participate in the Teaching Assistance Program at SMPN 30 Banjarmasin. The students came from various study programs, consisting of four students from the Social Science Education Department, four students from the Civics Education (PPKn) Study Program, two students from Educational Technology, and one student from Performing Arts Education. This diversity of academic backgrounds is expected to contribute optimally in accordance with the needs of the school.
The series of activities began with an opening session and a prayer, followed by remarks delivered by Nurul Qomariyah, S.Pd., Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, representing the Principal of SMPN 30 Banjarmasin. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation for the trust placed in SMPN 30 Banjarmasin as a partner school and conveyed hopes that the presence of Teaching Assistance students would have a positive impact on the learning process and overall school activities.
The next remarks were delivered by the Teaching Assistance Coordinator Lecturer, Dr. Mutiani, S.Pd., M.Pd. She emphasized that the Teaching Assistance Program is an essential component in developing the professional competencies of prospective educators through direct practical experience in schools. She also highlighted the importance of maintaining proper attitudes and behavior, as future educators are expected to serve as role models who will be respected and emulated.
The activity continued with remarks from the Chair of the Teaching Assistance students, followed by the introduction of all program participants. The 2026 Teaching Assistance Handover concluded with a group photo session as a form of documentation and reinforcement of cooperation between Universitas Lambung Mangkurat and SMPN 30 Banjarmasin. Through this activity, the implementation of the Teaching Assistance Program is expected to run smoothly and provide benefits for all parties involved.
