Banjarmasin, January 8, 2026 — Learning Strategy Materials for Social Science became one of the key agendas in the Teaching Assistantship Briefing Series organized by the Department of Social Science Education, FKIP ULM. This session aimed to equip students with an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies before they are assigned to schools.
The material was delivered by Raihanah Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd., who explained that learning strategies constitute structured instructional plans designed to achieve learning objectives effectively and efficiently. She emphasized that learning strategies must be adapted to students’ characteristics, classroom conditions, and the school environment.
In her presentation, she also clarified the differences between learning approaches, models, and methods. Learning methods were described as ways of delivering instructional content, learning models as comprehensive sequences of learning activities, and learning approaches as perspectives in viewing the learning process. Students were introduced to several Social Science learning strategies, including inquiry-based, cooperative, contextual, and affective strategies, all of which can be applied according to classroom needs and learning objectives.
