Banjarmasin, Thursday, January 22, 2026 — A ceremonial handover of students participating in the Teaching Assistance Program was held at SMPN 21 Banjarmasin. The activity took place from 08:30 WITA until completion and was conducted in the Science Laboratory Room of SMPN 21 Banjarmasin.
The event was attended by the Field Coordinator Lecturer, Muhammad Ridha Ilhami, a lecturer from the Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs of SMPN 21 Banjarmasin, Hafizi, supervising teachers, as well as teaching assistance students from various study programs.
A total of 11 students will carry out the Teaching Assistance Program at SMPN 21 Banjarmasin. The students come from several study programs, consisting of four students from Mathematics Education, two students from Computer Science Education, one student from Performing Arts Education, and four students from Social Science Education.
The ceremonial handover agenda included the opening session, a prayer, remarks from the Field Coordinator Lecturer, remarks from the school principal represented by the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs, an introduction session between supervising teachers and teaching assistance students, the closing session, and concluded with a group photo session.
The Teaching Assistance Program aims to provide FKIP students, as prospective educators, with direct experience in understanding the roles and responsibilities of teachers within the school environment. Through this program, students are expected to develop pedagogical and professional competencies, as well as adaptability skills in the field of education.
In his remarks, the Field Coordinator Lecturer expressed his hope that the school would provide guidance and mentorship to the students throughout the implementation of the Teaching Assistance Program at SMPN 21 Banjarmasin. Meanwhile, the Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs welcomed the students and expressed hope that they would feel comfortable and be able to contribute positively to students, teachers, and the school community.
