Deployment of Teaching Assistance Students to SMP Santa Maria Banjarmasin

Banjarmasin — On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the deployment of undergraduate students participating in the Teaching Assistance Program was officially conducted at the partner school, SMP Santa Maria Banjarmasin. The school is located at Jalan Rantauan Timur I No. 08 RT 15, Kelayan Barat Subdistrict, South Banjarmasin District, Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan Province, 70241.

The activity involved four undergraduate students, consisting of two students from the Social Science Education Program and two students from the Mathematics Education Program. These students will carry out teaching assistance duties in accordance with their respective fields of study, allowing them to gain direct experience in a real school environment.

The deployment process was officially coordinated by Syarifuddin, S.Pd., M.Pd., a lecturer from the Social Science Education Program, who served as the supervising coordinator. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and responsibility that students must uphold throughout their teaching assistance activities.

The deployment proceeded in an orderly and smooth manner and was warmly received by the administration of SMP Santa Maria Banjarmasin. The students are expected to actively participate in classroom learning activities, assist teachers in the teaching process, and support various academic programs at the school.

Through this undergraduate Teaching Assistance Program, students are expected to enhance their pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies as prospective educators. In addition, the program is anticipated to strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and partner schools in an effort to improve the overall quality of education.
