Banjarmasin, February 13, 2026 — The International Accreditation Assessment Visit conducted by the ACQUIN (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute) continued within the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM).
On Friday, February 13, 2026, the team of assessors carried out a direct inspection of the Social Science Laboratory of the Department of Social Science Education as part of the two-day assessment held on February 12–13, 2026. The visit aimed to evaluate the readiness and adequacy of learning support facilities and infrastructure owned by the department.
The Social Science Laboratory became one of the primary focuses of the evaluation due to its significant role in supporting lectures, practicum activities, instructional media development, and academic innovation for prospective Social Science educators. During the visit, the assessors observed the physical condition of the laboratory, the completeness of facilities, and the laboratory management system.
Document verification was also conducted to examine governance procedures, maintenance systems, and the alignment between laboratory utilization, curriculum structure, and student learning outcomes. This process ensured that laboratory management is systematically integrated with the implementation of Outcome-Based Education and academic quality standards.
The laboratory management team presented the laboratory’s function as a practice-based academic space that supports the development of instructional tools, educational research, and community engagement activities involving both lecturers and students. The session highlighted the laboratory’s contribution to strengthening practical competencies and pedagogical innovation.
In addition to reviewing facilities, the assessors engaged in discussions with lecturers and laboratory managers regarding strategies for optimizing laboratory use in promoting innovative and student-centered learning. The dialogue served as both an evaluative mechanism and a reflective process for the department to continuously improve the quality of its academic facilities.
This visit reaffirmed the commitment of the Department of Social Science Education FKIP ULM to maintaining high standards in educational services. Through the international assessment conducted by ACQUIN, FKIP ULM aims to obtain global recognition while strengthening institutional competitiveness in teacher education development and enhancing graduate quality at the international level.
