Spirit of Youth, Spirit of Indonesia: Social Science Education Department FKIP ULM Celebrates the 2025 Youth Pledge Day

Banjarmasin, October 28, 2025 — The Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), proudly extends its greetings in commemoration of the 97th Youth Pledge Day, celebrated on October 28, 2025. This national moment serves as a reminder of unity, struggle, and patriotism that continue to inspire the academic community of ULM.

The Head of the Department of Social Science Education emphasized that the spirit of the Youth Pledge must be preserved through education, particularly in nurturing young generations who are strong in character, critical in thought, and socially conscious.

“Today’s youth represent the future of Indonesia. Through social science education, we instill the values of unity, tolerance, and social responsibility so that students are not only academically competent but also have a deep awareness of their role in advancing the nation,” she stated.

The 2025 Youth Pledge Day carries the national theme “United in Diversity, Moving Forward to Build the Nation.” This theme aligns with the vision of the Social Science Education Department, which upholds multiculturalism and inclusivity in both academic and community engagement activities.

On this occasion, the Department encourages all students to embody the spirit of the 1928 Youth Pledge through real actions, creativity, and innovation.
