On March 6, 2024, from 2:40 PM to 4:20 PM, students from the Social Studies Education Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University, engaged in a practical teaching session as part of their curriculum studies at SMPN 6 Banjarmasin.
The session was led by the school’s principal, Mr. Aminsyah M.Pd, who shared invaluable insights drawn from his extensive experience as a Social Studies teacher and school administrator. He emphasized the critical importance of the Operational Curriculum in educational institutions (KOSP) and elaborated on the notion that being a teacher is not just a profession, but a noble vocation that requires wholehearted dedication.
Through this enriching experience with Mr. Aminsyah, the Social Studies Education students gained a deeper understanding of KOSP and the qualities that define a good and professional educator. This knowledge will empower them to effectively implement their teaching skills in schools, ensuring they meet the standards of the current educational curriculum.
