On Friday, June 28, 2024, the Social Science Education Study Program of FKIP ULM undertook a fieldwork assignment in Malang. On the second day, the participants were presented with an extraordinary experience at Museum Angkut in Batu City. The museum’s collection of unique vehicles, miniature worlds, and interactive exhibits offers new insights and experiences that are both enlightening and memorable.
During their time in Malang, the Social Science education students visited the Angkut museum. The Angkut museum in the city of stone features a collection of classic and combat vehicles representing various forms of military transportation, including land, sea, and air. The museum also showcases an array of antique vehicles from historical eras. The participants expressed satisfaction with the museum. Despite experiencing fatigue, they consistently derive pleasure from the ambience of a blissful vacation.
The museum is of considerable size and scope, and its holdings extend well beyond the domain of transportation. Furthermore, the remarkable miniature world leaves visitors in awe, featuring replicas of renowned landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, the Taj Mahal, Buckingham Palace, and numerous others.
The aesthetic appeal and singularity of the Museum Angkut extend beyond the realm of its vehicle collections. The dining area, gift shop, photo studio, and theater are also integral components of the museum’s mission to provide an unforgettable experience for participants. In addition to the remarkable assortment of vehicles, an interactive exhibition provided an opportunity for some Social Science education students to participate in a drifting car event, conducted by professional drivers.
Through the miniatures and replicas on display, Patience Chiwandire also claimed to be able to experience the atmosphere of famous cities around the world. The Social Science education student expressed great satisfaction at having the opportunity to visit this transport museum.
During their visit to the Museum of Transport, the Social Science education students not only gained new knowledge through the exhibits, but also had the chance to experience an unforgettable adventure. This experience introduced them to different types of vehicles and took them on a special journey across the museum.
