The academic community of the Social Science Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Heri Susanto, S.Pd., M.Pd. for earning his Doctoral Degree in History Education from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta.
The doctoral degree was officially conferred after Dr. Heri successfully defended his dissertation in an open examination held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 08:00 to 10:00 a.m. WIB, at Room 110, FKIP Building, Universitas Sebelas Maret.
The title of his dissertation was:
“Development of an Expirative Learning Model (Experiential–Narrative–Reflective) Based on Digital Edutainment to Improve High School Students’ Historical Empathy in Banjarmasin City.”
This research designed an innovative instructional model that integrates experiential learning, narrative techniques, and reflective practice, supported by digital edutainment tools, to foster historical empathy among senior high school students.
This academic achievement marks a significant contribution to the advancement of history education that is both humanistic and technologically relevant, with a strong emphasis on character development. It also serves as a source of inspiration for lecturers and students, especially within the Social Studies Education Program at FKIP Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, to continue innovating in the field of education.
