Haul of Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani and Ramadan Iftar Gathering of Social Science Education FKIP ULM Strengthen Academic Solidarity

Banjarmasin, March 11, 2026 — The Social Science Education Student Association (HIMA PIPS) of the Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), organized a Haul (memorial prayer gathering) for the late Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani, S.Pd., M.M., combined with a Ramadan iftar gathering. The event was attended by Social Science Education students from the 2022 to 2025 cohorts as well as lecturers of the department at FKIP 1 ULM.

The memorial event was held at Hasan Bondan Hall, FKIP 1 ULM. The program began with the recitation of Surah Yasin, followed by tahlil and collective prayers dedicated to the late Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani. For many students and lecturers, the late professor was not only an academic figure but also an inspiring educator who left a lasting legacy through his ideas, dedication, and contributions to the field of education. The haul ceremony served as a moment of reflection and respect, while also reminding participants of the values and commitment to education that he exemplified.

After the memorial prayer session concluded, the event continued with a communal iftar gathering. Students and lecturers proceeded together to Rumah Makan Tanjuang Indah in Banjarmasin to break their fast. The iftar took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, strengthening the sense of togetherness and kinship between students and lecturers of the Social Science Education Department.

The activity concluded with a group photo session involving students and student affairs advisors as documentation of the meaningful gathering. The event not only commemorated the legacy of the late Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani but also strengthened the spirit of unity and solidarity within the Social Science Education academic community at FKIP ULM.
