The deployment of Teaching Assistance students was carried out on Friday, January 23, 2023, at SMPN 2 Banjarmasin. This activity marked the initial stage of the Teaching Assistance Program, which aims to strengthen the learning process in schools while providing students with meaningful, real-world experiences in the field of education.
The deployment event was attended by Taufiq Hidayanto, M.Pd., as the Field Coordinator Lecturer, Aminsyah, M.Pd., the Principal of SMPN 2 Banjarmasin, members of the school leadership team, and supervising teachers who will mentor and guide the students throughout the implementation of the teaching assistance program at the school.
Students participating in the Teaching Assistance Program came from various study programs, including Social Science Education, Computer Science Education, Mathematics Education, Performing Arts Education, and Civic Education (PPKn). This diversity of academic backgrounds is expected to contribute positively to the teaching and learning process, as well as support both academic and non-academic needs at SMPN 2 Banjarmasin.
Through this program, students are expected to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their university studies directly in the school environment. In addition, the program provides opportunities for students to further develop pedagogical, professional, and social competencies through direct interaction with students, supervising teachers, and the wider school community.
The school welcomed the implementation of the Teaching Assistance Program and expressed hope that the presence of the students would have a positive impact on improving the quality of learning. Overall, this activity is expected not only to benefit the school but also to serve as an authentic learning platform for students in preparing themselves to become professional educators.
