Banjarmasin, January 9, 2026 — Learning Evaluation became one of the main focuses of the Teaching Assistantship Briefing organized by the Department of Social Science Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM), held in Room 39, FKIP ULM. This session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the importance of evaluation in the learning process.
The material was delivered by Sovia Husni Rahmia, S.Pd., M.Pd., who explained that evaluation plays a crucial role in determining the extent to which learning objectives have been achieved. Evaluation is not only conducted at the end of instruction but should also be carried out continuously throughout the teaching and learning process.
She further elaborated that evaluation can be implemented through both test and non-test methods, depending on the intended learning outcomes. The aspects evaluated include the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. In addition, students were introduced to various types of evaluation—diagnostic, formative, summative, and placement evaluations—each serving a distinct function in supporting continuous and effective learning.
