Banjarmasin – The Social Science Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) organized the 1st Memorial of Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani, MM. and Iftar Gathering with the theme “Fostering Togetherness and Gaining Blessings in the Month of Ramadan” on Friday, March 14, 2025. The event, held in Rooms 23 and 24 at FKIP ULM Banjarmasin, aimed to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and foster a sense of family within the Social Science Education community.
A Meaningful and Solemn Commemoration
The event was attended by 87 students and 16 lecturers from the Social Science Education Study Program. It commenced at 16.00 WITA with the recitation of dhikr, Surah Yasin, and collective prayers to honor the memory of Prof. Dr. Ismi Rajiani, MM. The atmosphere was deeply solemn as prayers and chants echoed through the room, allowing participants to reflect on the significance of the moment.
As maghrib approached, all attendees proceeded to Rumah Makan Padang Tanjung Indah Kayutangi for the iftar gathering. A warm and familial atmosphere was evident as students and lecturers engaged in conversations, sharing moments of togetherness while waiting to break their fast.
Instilling Social and Spiritual Values in Social Science Education
This event not only served as a platform for strengthening relationships, but also as a reflection of the social and spiritual values that are integral to Social Science Education. By organizing this memorial and iftar gathering, the Social Science Education Study Program reaffirmed its commitment to fostering not only academic excellence but also social and spiritual awareness as part of character education.
Through this initiative, students are encouraged to appreciate the importance of togetherness and strengthen their bonds of friendship, both among their peers and with lecturers.
