Bangi, June 11, 2024 – The Faculty of Education at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) today welcomed professional delegates from two distinguished Indonesian universities: the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) and the Faculty of Education at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM).
The Universitas Lambung Mangkurat delegation was represented by Prof. Dr. Dr. Ersis Warmansyah Abbas and Dr. Mutiani, while Universitas Negeri Malang’s delegation was led by Dr. Arbin Janu Setiyowati, Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Education, alongside two other lecturers. The visitors were warmly received by the Faculty of Education UKM, represented by YBrs. Dr. Khairul Azhar Jamaludin, Deputy Dean for Industry & Community Network (HEJIM), in Mind Gate Room 1.
The nearly two-hour event began with an introductory presentation on UKM’s Faculty of Education, setting the stage for a dynamic “Sharing Session on Ethnopedagogy” led by Dr. Mutiani from Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. This was followed by an engaging discussion on potential strategic collaborations and strengthening ties between UKM and both Indonesian institutions.
UKM faculty members from the Centre for Teaching and Learning Innovation were also present, including Prof. Dr. Fariza Khalid (Deputy Director I – Academic Development and Programs), Dr. Hazrat Husnin, Dr. Aidah Abdul Karim, Dr. Intan Farahana Kamsin, and Dr. Hanita Hanim Ismail as Coordinator for International Relations. Their participation enriched the productive dialogue surrounding future collaboration plans.
