Jakarta, September 22, 2026 — Students of the Social Science Education Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) visited Jakarta State University (UNJ) as part of their Field Study Practice. The visit provided students with an opportunity to experience a different academic environment while gaining new perspectives through direct interaction with the academic community at UNJ.
The activity served as an academic learning experience beyond the classroom. Students were introduced to the campus environment, engaged in discussions with fellow students, and exchanged experiences related to academic and student activities. The interaction also created an opportunity to strengthen communication and academic relationships between the two institutions.
Welcoming Session and Academic Interaction
The visit began with a welcoming session hosted by the Social Science Education Department at Jakarta State University. The Head of the Social Science Education Department at UNJ welcomed the ULM delegation and highlighted the importance of academic interaction and institutional relationships in creating broader learning opportunities for students.
The session continued with remarks from the Head of the Social Science Education Department at ULM. The Field Study Practice was introduced as an annual academic program conducted during the sixth semester. The program provides students with opportunities to gain practical experiences and broaden their understanding through direct engagement with academic environments outside their home institution.
Learning Through Field Study Practice
Field Study Practice provides students with an opportunity to connect academic learning with experiences in real educational environments. Through the visit to UNJ, students were able to observe an academic setting that differs from their everyday learning environment at ULM.
