Banjarmasin – In response to the rapid development of digital media, the Social Science Education Study Program (PIPS) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), conducted a series of training sessions aimed at equipping students with digital content production skills. The training, held from February 19 to 21, 2025, covered conceptual and technical aspects of podcasting and video editing.
1. Understanding Social Phenomena in the Digital Age (February 19, 2025)
The first session, “Understanding Social Phenomena in the Digital Age,” took place on February 19, 2025, at the Postgraduate Room, FKIP ULM. This workshop introduced students to the fundamentals of podcast creation as an educational and informational tool.
Held from 14:40 to 16:20 WITA, the session was attended by students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts, with Fatwa Nur’aini as the main speaker. She highlighted the importance of podcasts as a medium for disseminating social insights.
2. Crafting Compelling Podcast Scripts (February 20, 2025)
On February 20, 2025, the program continued with an online workshop titled “Crafting Compelling Podcast Scripts,” conducted via Zoom from 14:40 to 16:20 WITA.
During the session, Fatwa Nur’aini shared key techniques for writing engaging, communicative, and effective podcast scripts.
3. Seamless Storytelling: Learn Video Editing for Engaging Podcasts (February 21, 2025)
The final session, “Seamless Storytelling: Learn Video Editing for Engaging Podcasts,” took place on February 21, 2025, at the Postgraduate Room, FKIP ULM.
Led by Fatwa Nur’aini, the session covered essential video editing techniques, including graphic elements, transitions, and audio-visual effects to enhance podcast quality.
Empowering Students with Digital Media Skills
This training series marks a significant step by PIPS FKIP ULM in preparing students for the digital era. By combining conceptual knowledge, scriptwriting, and video editing, students are expected to create engaging and educational digital content.
With high enthusiasm from participants, these activities are set to continue, supporting students in becoming inspiring content creators with a strong social perspective.
