Practical Teaching Activities of Social Sciences Education Students with Mrs. Risna and Andin Mega Siwi Regarding the Study of the Junior Social Sciences Learning Curriculum and Social Sciences Learning Planning

Banjarmasin: Students of Social Studies Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Lambung Mangkurat University, conducted a teaching practicum for the curriculum studies course in social studies at junior high schools and lesson planning on March 1, 2024, from 14:00 to 17:20.

The sessions featured two esteemed speakers: Ms. Risna S.Pd, a teacher from SMAN 1 Banjarbaru, who presented on the curriculum studies course, and Ms. Andini Mega Siwi from SMPN 1 Banjarbaru, who covered lesson planning.

This teaching practicum consists of a total of nine meetings. In the first session, the instructors provided crucial insights for Social Studies Education students, focusing on the preparedness required to become effective teachers. This is particularly relevant given the many responsibilities and challenges faced by teachers, especially in the field of social studies at the junior high level, where students are navigating a critical developmental stage.

Through this practicum and the associated learning materials, it is hoped that Social Studies Education students will gain a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities of teachers, enabling them to better prepare for their future careers in education.
